This week’s Narragansett Recipe

I really like Narragansett Beer, I find it pleasant to drink (when in bottles), cheap, and it’s somewhat local. I also really like supporting farmer’s markets, so, I’m going to bring you a recipe a week created with Narragansett and some local produce. Sound good? Good.

This week’s I bring you something pretty simple but incredibly tasty:

Asparagus with ‘Gansett and Sage LittleNecks

– 1 Bunch of Asparagus (I used asparagus from Four Town Farm – much much better than what you’d get at the supermarket)
– 1 lb of Little Neck Clams (Mine were from Matunuck Oyster – awesome)
– 1/2 bottle of Narragansett Lager (or any local lager)
– 1 teaspoon of Dried Sage – Fresh would be better
– 1 clove of garlic
– 1 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil

Mix Oil with thinly sliced garlic on medium heath add Asparagus. Saute on medium for about 10 minutes.

Put Little Necks in Large pot, add 1/2 bottle of Narragansett + Sage let boil on high heat, cook for about 5 minutes, until they open a little bit.

Plate,Eat and Enjoy. (Drink the rest of the beer with the meal)
